Your workplace could be as hazardous to your heart health as smoking, high cholesterol and other more conventional risk factors for cardiovascular disease, a study in this week’s JAMA suggests. The culprit? Stress.
Thankfully, a majority of those who survive heart attacks are able to return to work, other studies suggest. The JAMA report suggests that patients and employers alike would benefit from strategies to prevent the human, medical and productivity costs of a second heart attack....
